Devils Tower, Wyoming

On the first weekend of August we left for a week to ride a little after the United States. Especially we depended on the passing places, which you do not yet have seen so far, and at the end and so has been little time for us to visit again our favorite site of Yellowstone National Park. No but this is already one of the next blogs.

first day we arrived to the village of Billings, Montana (about 9 hours with breaks coming from Calgary). There sure I wanted to buy a camera, because I went to our previous well-deserved retirement after a small shock treatment during our stay in Poland this spring. In Canada, electronics today is exactly as it is quite expensive and is worth the effort to do this type of shopping in the U.S., taking advantage of strong location of our dollar against the American.

After buying a fairly nice and handy camera with 10MP Casio and a few other things (girls, could not forgive myself, of course, other ciuchowych purchases), we drove 4 hours continue the glorious gore already Devils Tower, Wyoming. When someone once watching the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," or "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" in Polish, then the action waged around in there quite charaktrerystycznej top of the shape of a cylinder erected along the top axis.

This amazing shape owes this gora ago that she was once a means bigger volcano. When you froze in the middle of the scale of metamorphic volcano, it turned out to be the most resistant to erosion. Niegdyjszego volcano walls crumbled in August under the influence of weathering, but this "volcanic plug" there still lies. I seems that there still a little pobedzie. This is the perfect place for rock climbers - the simplest route to the summit (300 m high to output) difficulty is 5.6, so that no longer for "waiters." Well, maybe there will come to choose the Leszek and "zaloimy" the wall ...

here our first look at the gore when we reach to the target is slowly:

And here already, in turn, the next day morning at the campsite sip coffee in August this saturating lovely perspective.

Another picture of the geological phenomenon:
